epapersIt’s absolutely delicious. The major newspapers — the Times of India group, Hindustan Times, Daily News & Analysis and the Indian Express group — all offer epaper editions now, exact replicas online of the print editions. They’re a delight to read, and it makes clippings a snap. The Times of India and the Hindustan Times both offer a dedicated clipping service (with limited space, alas, which I rapidly exhausted), but that’s better than nothing. Sadly, I’m unable to log in to the Indian Express service at all — I keep getting some sql database error and it doesn’t allow me to register. Of the lot, I’d have to say the Hindustan Times service is by easily the best.
Storing clips
What do I do with the clips? Here are some answers.
Internet Research ScoutI use the excellent Internet Research Scout from bytescout to store the clippings. It allows multiple nested floors and takes HTML-formatted material directly dragged-and-dropped from web pages. Shareware, but definitely worth it.
Net SnippetsNetsnippets is an equally good alternative to Internet Research Scout. Much, much more expensive in the Pro version, however, so it may not be for everybody.
esnipseSnips is a 100% free online personal clipping service. When you’ve run out of the limited clipping space that Hindustan Times and Times of India offer, esnips is the answer.

ClipmateThere is, of course, the totally deadly Clipmate. Chris Thornton has been developing this for some years now, and I’ve been a fan for the longest time. It holds, in nested, fully customizable, folders all kinds of clips and has a nifty auto-clip feature, too. You can customize a key to allow it to take a screen shot. I suppose you could also use it to store the online clippings, but I haven’t tried it for that.
TNTThis is one of the finest screen-cap tools I’ve ever seen — TNT can do all kinds of nifty things: capture a screen, a free region, a fixed region, add shadows, borders, rectangles, curves, a cursor, even a blinking cursor. Essential if you want to write a help manual of any kind.
Smart Capture ProSome time ago, I got this but can’t for the life of me find the developer/vendor. It’s almost the same as TNT, but lacks some of its bells and whistles.
