It’s really incredible that one man, even if he is the President of the United States should have such an incredible collection of his spoken absurdities. These aren’t just malapropisms.  

Okay, here we go. Some of the good ones, IMHO:

• “The problem with the French is that they don’t have a word for entrepreneur.”
• “I was proud the other day when both Republicans and Democrats stood with me in the Rose Garden to announce their support for a clear statement of purpose: you disarm, or we will.”
• “There’s no cave deep enough for America, or dark enough to hide.”
• “Sometimes when I sleep at night I think of (Dr. Seuss’s) ‘Hop on Pop.’”
• “This foreign policy stuff is a little frustrating.”
• “It is white.”
• And so, in my State of the ? my State of the Union ? or state ? my speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation ? I asked Americans to give 4,000 years ? 4,000 hours over the next ? the rest of your life ? of service to America. That’s what I asked ? 4,000 hours.”
• “It’s amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, and incumbency.” Dubya forgot that the cameras were still rolling.
• “This very week in 1989, there were protests in East Berlin and in Leipzig. By the end of that year, every communist dictatorship in Central America had collapsed.”
• “The ambassador and the general were briefing me on the ? the vast majority of Iraqis want to live in a peaceful, free world. And we will find these people and we will bring them to justice.”

• “We are making steadfast progress.”
• “I’m the master of low expectations.”
• “I’m also not very analytical. You know I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about myself, about why I do things.”
• “I recently met with the finance minister of the Palestinian Authority, was very impressed by his grasp of finances.”
• “Oftentimes, we live in a processed world ? you know, people focus on the process and not results.”
• “All up and down the different aspects of our society, we had meaningful discussions. Not only in the Cabinet Room, but prior to this and after this day, our secretaries, respective secretaries, will continue to interact to create the conditions necessary for prosperity to reign.”

Which just shows that, obviously, the presidency of the United States is far too important a decision to be left to the Americans. Or, for that matter, to their Supreme Court. But more on that bunch of kooks later.
